Autonomes Seborga

Kleines, mystisches Fürstentum?

Wunderschön in den Bergen oberhalb von Bordighera eingebettet, liegt das fast tausend Jahre alte „Fürstentum Seborga“. Wie einst ein kleines gallisches Dorf im Nordwesten der Bretagne den Römern Widerstand leistete, so besteht das kleine Dorf Seborga an der Blumenriviera in Ligurien auf seine „Unabhängigkeit“ von Italien. Italien selbst misst dem allerdings nicht ganz so viel Beachtung bei.

Das „Antike Fürstentum Seborga“ ist heute auch eine Touristenattraktion. Sogar National Geographic war schon da. Und es wird fleißig am Mythos weitergestrickt. Die Gemeinde hat sogar eine eigene Währung, einen eigenen Pass und eine eigene Hymne…
